I stopped shaving on Nov. 16, 2007 and did not shave again until April 26, 2008. The growing of my beard was met with mockery and ridicule. There is a great prejudice against beards in my denomination, as many view a beard as a sign of laziness. However, I learned a great deal from the process as the Lord taught me patience and humility.
